Terms of Service – Emily Hinton Photography

By booking a session with Emily Hinton Photography, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Booking & Payment

A non-refundable retainer is required to secure your session date. The remaining balance is due by the day of the session unless otherwise agreed. Dates are not reserved until the retainer is received.

2. Rescheduling & Cancellations

Life happens – we get it! You may reschedule your session with at least 48 hours’ notice, and your retainer will be applied to the new date (subject to availability). No-shows or cancellations without notice will forfeit the retainer.

3. Session Expectations

Please arrive on time and ready to go! Sessions that begin late due to client delay may result in a shorter session time. If children are being photographed, please bring any comfort items, snacks, or breaks needed to keep things smooth and fun.

4. Image Delivery

Edited, high-resolution digital images will be delivered via a private online gallery within [2–3 weeks] of your session. Rush edits may be available for an additional fee.

5. Artistic Style

By booking, you acknowledge that you are familiar with Emily Hinton Photography’s style and agree to allow full artistic control over the final look of your images. Raw (unedited) files are not provided.

6. Image Rights & Usage

You receive a personal-use license for all delivered images. This means you may download, share, and print your images for personal use. Emily Hinton Photography retains full copyright and may use select images for marketing, portfolio, and promotional use—unless you request otherwise in writing.

7. Prints & Products

You may print your images through your online gallery or with your preferred lab. For the best results, we recommend printing through a professional service. We are not responsible for print quality from third-party labs.

8. Liability

In the unlikely event of an equipment failure, loss of images, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, liability is limited to rescheduling the session or a refund of all payments made. We are not responsible for injuries, damages, or accidents during the session.

9. Weather & Location

Outdoor sessions are weather-dependent. If inclement weather is expected, we will reach out to discuss rescheduling or finding an alternate indoor location.

10. Agreement

By booking a session or making a payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
